Every where-is-my-order phone call is a customer who did not get a text. Three short messages remove almost all of them.
The three texts that do the work
Order flow only needs three messages, and each is one segment:
- Confirmed — "Order #182 confirmed — we'll text you when it ships." Kills the did-my-order-go-through email five minutes after checkout.
- Ready / shipped — "Order #182 is ready for pickup" or "shipped, track here." This is the one customers actually want.
- Problem — payment failed or item delayed. One honest text beats a missed email and a chargeback.
All three are pre-written in the template library — drop in your business name and go.
Why texts and not email
Order emails compete with every other retailer's promotions in a tab your customer checks twice a day. Texts get read in minutes — which is why the pickup counter stops backing up when "ready for pickup" goes out by SMS. For a shop doing 20 orders a day, order alerts are the difference between a phone that rings all afternoon and one that does not.
Hooking it up
WooCommerce: the WordPress plugin hooks order placed / completed / refunded from the settings screen — no code.
Any other checkout (Shopify, Squarespace Commerce, custom): the HTML snippet fires on your order event, or your platform's webhook posts to us. Setup is the same five minutes either way.
What it costs at order volume
An order sends 2–3 texts. At 10 orders a day that is roughly 600–900 texts a month — the $29/mo plan covers it with unlimited contacts, and your customers' replies (which forward to your email) cost nothing.

Does this work with WooCommerce?
Yes — order placed, completed, and refunded events are supported out of the box, with per-event templates.
Do customers have to opt in to order texts?
Yes, and the fix is one checkbox at checkout — pre-written opt-in language ships with every plan. Transactional order texts to customers who checked the box are the safest category in SMS.
Can the customer text back?
Yes. Replies land in your email, so "can I pick it up at 6 instead?" reaches you without a new inbox to watch.
