SMS notifications for Squarespace
Squarespace emails you when a form is submitted or an order lands. Emails wait; texts do not. One snippet closes the gap.
Where the snippet goes
Settings → Advanced → Code Injection → Footer. Paste the snippet, save, done — it loads on every page. One honest note: Code Injection requires the Squarespace Business plan or higher; Personal-plan sites cannot add custom code, and no SMS tool can change that.
Forms and bookings
Squarespace form blocks work with data-etn="lead" — submissions text your phone with name, number, and message, so you can call the lead back in minutes instead of tonight (why that matters). Scheduling through a form with a date field drives day-before reminder texts.
Squarespace Commerce orders
Order events fire from the order confirmation page, or connect the Commerce order webhook for server-side reliability — the docs show both. Customers get "confirmed / shipped" texts; your staff phone gets the new-order buzz.
What Squarespace cannot do natively
Squarespace has no built-in SMS — notifications are email-only, and most Squarespace SMS integrations route you through Zapier plus Twilio (two more subscriptions and your own carrier paperwork). Our plan includes the number, the registration filing, and compliance for $19/mo.
Common questions
Which Squarespace plan do I need?
Business or higher — that is Squarespace's requirement for Code Injection, not ours.
Does it work with Squarespace Scheduling (Acuity)?
Acuity has its own reminder system built in. Use ours when you want one number and one tool covering forms, orders, and staff alerts too.
Will it break my template?
No — the snippet renders nothing visible. It only listens for the events you tag.
Ready when you are.
Paste once in Code Injection. Live in 1–3 days.
Add texting to SquarespaceFive-minute setup. We handle the carrier paperwork.
