SMS notifications for Wix
Your Wix site collects leads and bookings all day. Getting them to your phone as texts takes one snippet and five minutes.
Where the snippet goes
Settings → Custom Code → Add Custom Code, load on All Pages, place in Body-end. Honest note: Wix only allows custom code on premium plans with a connected domain — free Wix sites cannot add it.
Wix Automations vs. a notifications tool
Wix does have Automations, and for a simple "email me on form submit" they are fine — use them. The gaps show when you want SMS: availability varies by plan and region, sender identity is not your own local number, and there is no reply handling, quiet-hours enforcement, or carrier registration under your business name. If texting is part of how you operate — not a one-off — a dedicated notifications layer with your own number is the sturdier setup.
Forms, stores, bookings
Tag Wix forms with data-etn="lead" for instant lead texts. Wix Stores orders can fire from the thank-you page or a webhook for order alerts. Booking forms with a date drive reminders. Replies forward to your email either way.
Common questions
Do I need Velo (Wix code)?
No — the standard Custom Code slot is enough. Velo users can call the same endpoint directly if they prefer.
Which Wix plan do I need?
Any premium plan with a connected domain — that is Wix's rule for custom code.
Can texts come from my own number?
They come from a dedicated local number that is yours on every plan — registered to your business, usable if you ever leave Wix.
Ready when you are.
